Is anyone else having issues with Bloglines? It keeps freezing up on me and crashing - WTF is going on!?!? Why haven’t they fixed it already!?

Other than that there’s not much going on here! I have a long list of things to do this weekend that include painting the desk I bought weeks ago from Craigslist. I’ll take some before and after pics if I actually get it done.

I started my aunt Mary’s bday knitting this past weekend. I’ll get some sneak previews up, but I can’t tell you what it is in case she checks here. (Not sure if she does cause my family never leaves me comments!)

PS - Its hot as hell here and I’m not happy about it! (and still pasty white).

Does this bother anyone else or is it just me? Seriously, you’re Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, have some class…fix the gap in her teeth or airbrush for Christ’s sake! I HATE when they do that! I know everyone doesn’t have perfect teeth, but since you’re gonna photoshop it anyway, why not take the extra 10 seconds to fix that! Its the first thing I noticed.

So, I found another house I like. Do I like it as much as the first? Well, its totally different than the first, and it needs less work, and I like it just fine.

Now, this weekend my sister and mom went to see two houses with me. The second one was this one, and my brother went along. After he sees the house, he decides its “cavernous” and he doesn’t like his room. Now, you have to know my brother to understand this, but lets just say he’s extremely negative about just about everything, and he likes to bitch a lot about things he doesn’t want to contribute to, and he always knows more about whatever it is you’re talking about…even if he’s only read one book on it…or my favorite, looked it up on Wikipedia. But I digress. He NOW decides that its not close enough to the freeway, its not the style of house he would buy, he’s not sure how long he’s staying in Cleveland…yadda yadda. Now, let me remind you he just told me less than two weeks ago (before I put the offer on the other house!) that the area was just fine, and he planned on staying 5 years, and he loved living in basements. (The room I offered him wasn’t even in the basement, but of course, he didn’t like that one either).

So, I can afford to get the house without him, but it will be tight. Do I get the house and try to find a roommate, or will I be committing financial suicide? That is the question of the day.

I’m sure my realtor has had about enough of the indecisiveness! The house is in good condition, is completely renovated, hardwood throughout. Cavernous my ass…

Do you ever wake up just craving something else? Well this morning I did. I woke up craving San Francisco. It happens. It happens to me a lot lately. I just wake up remembering the city and the last time I was there and just feel sad that I haven’t been back lately. I miss it there. A lot.

Or is this ad super creepy?

I’m adding this to my list of things that creep me out.

I don’t have much to report, sorry! Work is crazy this week cause its Food Show time. It’ll be over after this weekend, thank god. I’m sooooo not looking forward to standing in one place for the next two days, but I got a squishy mat from my friend Nancy to stand on, so that will help!

I watched Waitress last weekend. It was good. I also watched Brokeback Mountain…yes I know its old, but I have never seen it! It was good too. Now I’m making Veggie Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes and I’m about to chill for the rest of the night, cause lucky me! I get to work tomorrow too!

Hopefully next post I will have at least some knitting to show you!

PS - I love this weather. I don’t get to say that very often since I live in Cleveland, so I’m saying it. Its 9:30pm and its 65 degrees out…I wish it would stay like this all year! While I was at the grocery store today after work, it started raining pretty hard and the sun was so bright, and I turned around and there were TWO rainbows, really really bright ones, it was really cool. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my phone with me or I’d have a visual for you guys, sorry.

I got a letter from them last month telling me that regret to inform me that my cable and DSL bill is going up. They can’t help it, it costs a lot to bring me cable and high speed internet. Gas is expensive, times are tough, the rates have to increase…yadda yadda yadda
Ah, whatever, what am I gonna do, right?

Well today I get this in the mail:

How do you like their *NEW* four-color envelopes and matching stationary? Nice huh? Glad to see that money you squeezed out of me is going to make my cable bill LOOK pretty.

Is this really necessary? Especially nowadays when everyone pays this shit online? I mean seriously, I get my bill online, then they send me this paper bill, I pay it online, then throw this piece of paper along with the lovely matching envelope in the garbage.

Matt signed up for a paper-free experience with Chase…he now gets more paper junk mail from them than ever before! Its unbelievable!
